This is the cause of the baby formula crisis

Tucker says the Biden administration has been hoarding formula By Tucker Carlson | Fox News – May 13, 2022 – Fox.news At a press conference back on March 24th of this year, Joe Biden announced that thanks to the regime change war he’s decided to voluntarily wage in Eastern Europe, our country—the United States—will soon face food shortages.   Food shortages are “going to be real,” Biden said. Now, the reporters in the room dutifully transcribed the words and wrote their stories, but you may have missed it. You may not have even heard this because there weren’t a lot of follow-up … Continue reading This is the cause of the baby formula crisis

We just hit a new high for number of elderly receiving MOWs

Please see my previous post here. Meals on Wheels is a barometer of inflation and the health of the economy, especially for the elderly recipients most of whom live on limited, fixed incomes. So, the wife and I just got back from doing our MOWs route. Even with two of us working together the route took another 30-40 minutes to complete. Our hundred-year-old lady even called to make sure we were still coming to her house because we were running behind. And the retired volunteer guy who is always there helping us volunteers load the meal buckets into our cars … Continue reading We just hit a new high for number of elderly receiving MOWs

X-Files Monster of the Week Episodes

These are listed in x-files.fandom.com “Monster of the Week“, or MOTW, refers to episodes of The X-Files that typically deal with some type of supernatural or paranormal creature/entity, but may also be a simple criminal with a unique ability. They are usually separate from episodes dealing with the conspiracy, although certain elements can crossover between the two. Monster of the Week episodes populate the majority of each season, as to avoid the risk of over exposing the mythology arc. My cmnt: The MOTW episodes are what made The X-Files the entertaining and fun series that it was. The alien-mythology arc is unneeded and tedious. Woman shot in face during protests settles federal lawsuit against city

By Margaret Reist ,  Chris Dunker – for the Lincoln Journal Star My cmnt: I have personally participated in dozens of ProLife protests and marches against the killing of babies thru abortion. We had police there to protect us from the crazed Biden-voters who always show up to harass us with bullhorns and shout epithets at us. Fired Lincoln firefighter is latest to sue city alleging retaliation for reporting sex harassment

Lori Pilger – Lincoln Journal Star Feb 16, 2022 Updated Mar 27, 2022 My cmnt: Lincoln has had nothing but a string of democrat, ultra-Lib mayors for the entire 21st century. My cmnt: Democrat Leirion Baird is entirely responsible for the $10 million dollars in destruction to Lincoln businesses and injuries to both rioters and police during the “summer of love”, Covid super-spreader, riots by Biden voters protesting George Floyd killing himself with a massive fentanyl drug overdose and resisting arrest. Tonight, America begins an annual festival celebrating hubris: The NFL draft.

By David Leonhardt – April 28, 2022 – for The New York Times The power of humility  Tonight at the Caesars Forum Conference Center near Las Vegas, thousands of people will gather for an annual demonstration of human overconfidence. The official name of the gathering is the N.F.L. draft. There, with millions of Americans watching on television, executives of the N.F.L.’s 32 teams will choose which college players to add to their rosters. And the executives will almost certainly make a lot of decisions that they later regret. I recognize that many readers of this newsletter are not football fans. Still, I … Continue reading Tonight, America begins an annual festival celebrating hubris: The NFL draft.

Trump Claims He’s Not Coming Back To Twitter After Sale To Musk

My cmnt: First, banning a sitting President of the United States from using your monopoly communication platform was and is so outrageous it defies description. It is comparable to a phone carrier banning someone from ever making a phone call or a TV network banning a person from ever appearing on that network. The New York Times – The Opioid Crisis

April 24, 2022 By German Lopez Good morning. We answer a common reader question about the opioid crisis and legalizing drugs. A cautionary tale Drug overdose deaths in the U.S. reached their highest point ever recorded last year, with more than 100,000 deaths over 12 months. Deaths are up nearly 50 percent since the start of the Covid pandemic. Whenever I write about deadly overdoses, some readers ask: Why not legalize and regulate drugs? They argue that the government causes more harm by outlawing drugs and enforcing those bans through policing and incarceration. They suggest that legalization and regulation could better minimize the … Continue reading The New York Times – The Opioid Crisis

Moving from Left to Right

By CHARLES KRAUTHAMMER – October 25, 2013 12:00 AM – for National Review An excerpt from Charles Krauthammer’s new book, Things That Matter I’m often asked: “How do you go from Walter Mondale to Fox News?” To which the short answer is: “I was young once.” The long answer begins by noting that this is hardly a novel passage. The path is well trodden, most famously by Ronald Reagan, himself once a New Deal Democrat, and more recently by a generation of neoconservatives, led by Irving Kristol and Norman Podhoretz. Every story has its idiosyncrasies. These are mine. I’d been a lifelong … Continue reading Moving from Left to Right

Confession is beautiful, grace-filled and a necessary part of growing spiritually

By Colleen Kenney – March 5, 2004 – for the Lincoln Journal Star My cmnt: Philosophical materialists (i.e., atheists, earth worshipers, communists, secular humanists, Darwinists, radical environmentalists) scoff at the idea of there being a God and most certainly a God who forgives sins. “We are free to do what we want, especially sexually”, they tell us. But as my recent posts on Earth Day and such show, no one escapes from guilt and the need for pardon – for all have sinned, feel it in their hearts and want forgiveness – even if the sin is not recycling enough … Continue reading Confession is beautiful, grace-filled and a necessary part of growing spiritually

Jeff Fortenberry trial offered tangled web of oddities

By Todd Cooper Omaha World-Herald – via the Lincoln Journal Star – Mar 26, 2022 My cmnt: My initial thoughts were that Fortenberry was being set up by the evil democrats in an FBI sting. Tips to a lasting, happy marriage

We have been married going on 46 years now so we have been asked on more than one occasion (usually at a bridal or wedding shower) what has made our marriage last. When we were first married we were told by an older couple, “Don’t go to bed still mad at each other.” Good advice as it echos scripture, “Do not let the sun go down while you are still angry,” in Eph 4:26. We remind the young couple that marriage is the matrix of life whose primary purpose is to show Christ and His Bride to the people around … Continue reading Tips to a lasting, happy marriage

Is pedophilic attraction to children a mental illness?

Presently no one, including democrats who have been seeking to normalize deviant sexual practices for 60 years, will publicly state that pedophilic sex is permissible. But you can be assured that this state of affairs will not last. It is only a matter of time before democrats attempt to, and succeed in making pedophilia not only an acceptable sexual practice but a desirable one for both the adult and the child. I should point out that prior to the 1970s homosexuality was considered by the psychiatric profession to be a mental illness. But with sufficient, concerted pressure from the democratic-media … Continue reading Is pedophilic attraction to children a mental illness?

by Emma Hammett | Dec 9, 2020 | for First Aid for Life My cmnt: Be sure to read the readers’ comments I have included below this article. There is a growing body of people with very low risk tolerance who believe that virtually any risk is too much. This is germane to the ongoing Covid-risk debate.
