My cmnt: For the first time in over a generation President Trump made us energy independent. He reopened ANWAR, encouraged more drilling on Federal lands, encouraged fracking, and reauthorized the Keystone pipeline – among other things. Energy is the lifeblood of our economy and all economies in developed nations and coal and oil are the only feasible commodities for the foreseeable future. Dementia Joe shutting ALL of this down as the mouthpiece and pen for the Leftists of his party citing nonexistent global warming (which is why the Left now calls it climate change), calling CO2 (plant food) a pollutant, and claiming undependable solar and wind power able to replace coal-fired plants; pushing electric cars which we all know need electricity from coal-fired power plants to recharge their expensive, polluting batteries and require supplemental gas-powered engines for heat and A/C.
My cmnt: Then that daft doofus Biden has the temerity to beg the unreliable Saudi’s to pump MORE oil to make up for our loss. And on top of all of this nonsense is the fact that the Indians and the Chinese are burning dirty coal and building plants at a furious pace and will never abide by the idiotic restrictions Western Leftists impose on their own countries.
My cmnt: So reality, not the Left-democrat lies, is that we are slitting our own throats while our enemies, China and Russia, will continue to pollute and burn fossil fuels at a record pace and the Left can do nothing about it and most likely likes it because it makes evil, oppressive communists more powerful which is what they wish upon all the world and especially America.
Senator Joe Manchin (D., W. Va.) on Tuesday called on President Biden to reinstate the Keystone XL pipeline as the U.S. struggles with gas shortages and skyrocketing prices.
“I continue to call on President Biden to responsibly increase energy production here at home and to reverse course to allow the Keystone XL pipeline to be built which would have provided our country with up to 900,000 barrels of oil per day from Canada, one of our closest allies,” the moderate senator said in a statement.
“To be clear, this is about American energy independence and the fact that hard-working Americans should not depend on foreign actors, like OPEC+, for our energy security and instead focus on the real challenges facing our country’s future,” Manchin said, referring to the group of major oil-producing countries.
The statement came after the Biden administration announced plans to release 50 million barrels of oil from the U.S. Strategic Petroleum Reserve to combat soaring gas prices.
Manchin, who is the chairman of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, has previously advocated against Biden’s decision to revoke a permit for the pipeline. In February, he said that pipelines nationwide “continue to be the safest mode to transport our oil and natural gas resources, and they support thousands of high-paying, American union jobs.″
However, Biden has suggested that the U.S. end its dependence on fossil fuel and has committed to forging a path for the U.S. to have a carbon-free electric grid by 2035 and net zero emissions by 2050.
“This is the decade that will determine the answer. This decade,” Biden said during an international climate summit earlier this month. “The science is clear: We only have a brief window left before us to raise our ambitions and to raise — to meet the task that’s rapidly narrowing.”
We are at such a historical point of economic, scientific, and inter-cultural forces lifting the standard-of-living worldwide, that very simply the only thing those in government have to do to ensure a bright future is to not actively break everything at once. But they aren’t content with getting away with corrupting a thing or two, dying rich and living a long life with just a few vices each. They have to corrupt absolutely everything to satisfy their moral depravity. I think the inevitable accelerating effect of corruption is from the hand of God, to prevent evil from settling in. Good is a restful end in itself; evil is ever-changing without rest.
