My cmnt: Even Data’s Dad, Dr. Noonien Soong, derisively called Often Wrong, got some things right. Not so with climate change (i.e., man-made global warming alarmists) religious nuts. The earth worshiping climate fanatics are actually ALWAYS wrong. Their track record is zero.

Remember the hole in the ozone layer that was going to kill us all from skin cancer? How about the acid rain that was destroying the northeast? And ” dead” Lake Erie is alive and well, thank you very much.

In my 60 years I was visited by every one of those doom’s day predictions, plus the ice age fiasco AND the duck&cover nuclear conflagration kissmyazz-goodbye warnings that culminated in the collapse of the Soviet Union along with dismantling of Berlin’s wall.
I was raised from childhood through the ’60s and ’70s to be fearful that life would cease with the ‘snap’ of the finger of ??? (by then, God didn’t exist anymore either).
The Chicken Little prophecies of imminent, ultimate destruction just fall on deaf ears now-a-days.

Now I see Bill Nye, pseudo-Science guy has a show about 6 or 7 Apocalyptic ends to the Earth. That should be entertaining….

I remember seeing an article printed in 1912 that was saying much the same thing…yet here we still are.

Rhetorical question. But I keep hoping someone will be honest enough to ‘fess up to the truth: that this is about imposing socialism/Communism; it obviously has nothing at all to do with the climate.

It has always been about the money. Climate warming/cooling is a very lucrative business.

This is amazing!! Today the Governor of California announced that in 2035 no gasoline cars will be allowed to be sold in California – only electric vehicles will be allowed to be driven. Apparently the Governor did not read the above article. So which will it be?
I hope the people of California will never vote for a democrat again, for sure not for the current governor.
Of course the law will not be enacted because there will never be the number of electric vehicles to replace the ones Californians are driving. In any case there should never ever be another democrat Governor – not in California or in any state. They are not just wicked but stupid too.

Biden’s energy secretary, Jennifer Grandholm, just declared “Green Energy is the best peace plan the world has ever known”.

Here’s the truth about Climate change, Green Energy and its impact on world peace. We just saw the country with the highest ESG score in the world (Sri Lanka) collapse and see the same massive social unrest happening in the Netherlands. The dictator (Prime Minister) of Canada is implementing fertilizer restrictions and extreme environmental policies there as well. Europe has been shutting down their coal fired and nuclear plants for 20 years and anyone who can “connect the dots” can see how that is largely responsible for the Ukraine war and the coming world wide recession.

After decades of shutting down their nuclear and coal fired plants Germany (and most of Europe) gets at least 40% of its gas and oil from Russia and can’t survive without it. Russia used pipelines through Ukraine to supply Germany (and all of Europe) with Russian gas and oil. It was problematic for Putin because he had to pay huge tariffs to Ukraine and more problematic as the U.S. kept pushing Ukraine to join NATO; a “red line” for Putin as it could have threatened the oil supply line and Russia’s main source of revenue.

So, as a backup, he built Nord Stream 2 which runs directly to Germany from Russia. Trump opposed it and Biden approved it. Trump even warned Germany about their dependence on Russian oil and they ignored him. Putin “owned” Europe with its gas and oil dependence, he saw Biden’s debacle in Afghanistan, witnessed his foreign and domestic policy ineptness and fecklessness; so it’s really no surprise he decided to attack. Now China is also emboldened because of Biden’s weakness and the fact that he is compromised by China, so they casually threaten to shoot down U.S. planes if they go to Taiwan.

So while Biden says his sanctions will bankrupt Putin, the truth is that Germany and all of Europe are still buying Russian gas and oil, the Russian ruble is rising, the dollar is crashing and Putin (with Biden’s help) has castrated NATO. Europe is funding Putin, while we send endless billions to Ukraine. That’s Insane! Gas prices and inflation will continue to rise and because of the lack of Russian fertilizer and Russian grain, worldwide food shortages are likely. There is also a new refugee crisis in Europe, hundreds of thousands will die, western economies are crashing and we are in a proxy war with Russia that we didn’t vote on, can’t afford, and can’t win. And Biden wants to send money to Ukraine “for as long as it takes” and through the “Inflation Reduction Act” (which is really a 740 billion “Green Energy Act”) that will impose Europe’s proven energy disaster here.

Had enough yet, America?

I read somewhere that Germany is restarting its coal plants to prepare or winter.

Good! Their people won’t freeze this Winter.

Meanwhile we are exhorted (and extorted) to “follow the science”.

Thanks for reminding us of all the ways the sky is falling. Leftists are not happy unless everyone is UNhappy or better yet ANGRY. So much for the “pursuit of happiness”. I’m waiting for when the batteries in those fabulous electric cars need to be recycled and we find it’s not an easy nor inexpensive thing to do. Maybe a “recycling fee” should be added to the car like the E-waste fees.

Not only is swapping out the batteries in E-cars difficult, under current federal law, it has to be handled by a hazardous waste team!!!

The 1st paragraph had a date of 1969. Since then I have graduated from high school. Got married and raised 4 children, who are now adults. Helped run a business and now collecting SS. Along with climate change and every thing else that was going to kill me and all life on earth, I am still hoping to be alive for 20 more years. I also survived Covid without a clot shot.

Deplorables aren’t smart enough to understand all the sciencey stuff woke people do. It’s so obvious that global warming can trigger a new ice age or make hurricanes bigger. We need to listen to AL Gore’s big a$$ brain. He’s so full of smart he makes AOC look dumb.

If ignorant people would study the history of our planet they would then be informed enough to not fall for all this climate change BS. It is climate change and it’s a natural occurrence for our planet and we will all probably perish due to it and there is nothing we can do to change or stop it. Like someone before me said this is nothing but a money game and the Demonrats are trying to get as rich as they possibly can by pushing it to the forefront and keeping it there at whatever the cost!!! That’s because EVERY climate disaster predicted to happen by climate extremists came to the point of fact of: not happening; credibility zero. And still is!
BUT that won’t stop Joe from funding with Billions of our tax dollars to feed the Democrat Party with dark money from front businesses addressing climate change.

Climate change forecasts: Rain, Snow, sleet, fog, blizzards (watch out wind turbines freeze), hail, tornadoes, hurricanes, floods, typhoons. Solar panels do not work and cannot be recycled. The sun may be eclipsed and we might freeze. Volcanos will erupt and the resulting ash cover might make us freeze. All of these things happen. Catastrophic climate change has happened many times in the history of earth and will happen again. We will adapt to it just like we always have.

I had to read Ehrlich in college along with the “Friends of Rome” in a class named Freshman Quest. In Ehrlich’s book, The Population Bomb, he hypothesized that 14 billion human beings would occupy the planet by the year 2000. It turns out he overshot by 6 billion. Part of his prophesies included that the United Kingdom would be uninhabitable and at least 60 million Americans would die from starvation. That fantasy was off by nearly 43 percent. If you contracted a builder to construct a home for $400,000 and he charged you $572,000, you’d be “vexed” to say the least. Ehrlich, despite the erroneously wild claim is still proffering his book with a few tiny modifications, I’m thinking. The Friends of Rome were a joint caucus of august experts in their respective fields. In the book, which I believe is remarkably still in print despite their calculations, they studied all the natural resources in the United States starting at or near the turn of the century. It’s been awhile, but among the natural resources, we were inevitably going to run out of Fossil Fuels, Copper, Coal and many others. On that prediction for petroleum, we were destined to run out in 1992. In closing, yes, the climate scam is indeed a scam and when the so-called experts come around don’t take their word for anything because they just don’t know.

Climate religion.

I remember hearing a talk by meteorologist with PhD. He gave a talk on the history of weather and climate over time. One word described that history, volatile. He said the previous 100 years or so that weather patterns and been unusually calm and they would not be moving forward. He predicted people would get in a frenzy about what did we do, his answer nothing. It is good to a not fill the air with putrid smoke or the rivers with chemicals but none of this has much to do with climate, as a matter of fact the billions of boondoggles would provide more than enough money to build the infrastructure to remediate all of those problems. Electric cars will in fact create pollution just of another kind. It may get warmer, the latest estimate is 1.8F. In order to power and sustain our standard of living we need nuclear power generation worldwide. Ehrlich predicted we would all starve, he did not understand the gifts we have been given or have vision to utilize those gifts productively and efficiently. He wrote a book about population but he’s an insect and butterfly scientist.

The people running Climate Change, Inc. know full well there are only a few causes of rapid catastrophic climate change, and that would be a meteor strike, a supervolcano eruption, a large meteorite striking the moon with enough force to break its orbit from earth, etc. The dolts they recruit as foot soldiers to rake in the cash for them have no idea how any of this works. They have been conditioned to trust experts in the authority class.

Climate is a product of geology and astronomy. Climate takes tens of thousands to millions of years to change significantly. The last ice age peaked just a mere 15k years ago, the blink of eye in a geological terms, and we are still emerging from it. Hence the warming. Eventually all the ice on earth will be gone, as it has done a few times before. What happens with the moon, orbital ellipses, polar axial tilt varying by 1 degrees either way every 44,000 years or so, shifting magnetic poles, solar activity, variations in solar radiation, and even the planet Jupiter affects climate. Our contribution to it is like dumping a gallon of water into a lake.

In The Progressive lib rag in 1970 to commemorate the first Earth Day, Stanford U. nut-job prof Paul Ehrlich penned an article predicting “The Great Die-Off” to occur from 1980 to 1989, in which worldwide cold-related famine would claim 2 billion earthlings globally, 65 million of that in the U.S. alone. I started a career, married, began raising a family, became a triathlete, and attained two advanced degrees during that time, so I admit, I might have missed it … oh, but nooooooo. (Wikipedia lists Ehrlich’s “Institution” as “Stanford University,” when really instead it should be a crazy-house somewhere.)
