Statewide test scores (percentage who meet or exceed standards): 62 language arts, 58 math, 64 science
I observe an apparent correlation between eating cafeteria ‘food’ and awful test scores.
I am also very suspicious of this ‘gifted’ category, given that at least one school has fully over a fifth listed as ‘gifted’ while barely over half are proficient in basic subjects.

Thank you for the insightful (and hilarious) observation! As to the “gifted” category of students I do not know how exactly that is determined. In the past few decades autism and ADHD diagnoses have skyrocketed. This may be from multiple unnecessary vaccinations of infants (such as universal vs targeted vaccination for HepB) or over consumption of highly stimulating movies and video games being viewed way too early in life and way too often, or it could simply be changing the parameters of testing for these disorders resulting in more hits. Perhaps the category of “gifted” has recently been broadened for political reasons to apply to more students.
