My cmnt: This is just the last nail in the coffin. Those of us who aren’t democrat demagogues have been saying since March of 2020 that masks, social distancing, sheltering-in-place, staying indoors, et al., are mostly useless political theater. My cmnt: The democrats must keep up their lies at least until the midterms are over. Their only hope of winning is by cheating and using the mass mailing and counting of illegal ballots with the same, old tired excuse of Covid-19.

Anthony Fauci says that everyone is going to get Omicron:

The omicron coronavirus variant will infect “just about everybody” regardless of vaccination status, top U.S. infectious-disease expert Anthony S. Fauci said Tuesday.

But those who have been vaccinated will “very likely, with some exceptions, do reasonably well,” and avoid hospitalization and death, said Fauci, speaking at a virtual “fireside chat” with the My Center for Strategic and International Studies. Fauci also said in a Senate hearing the same day that the unvaccinated are 20 times likelier to die, 17 times likelier to be hospitalized and 10 times likelier to be infected than the vaccinated.

My cmnt: Fauci is such a deceiver! The vast majority of those dying WITH Covid-19 are the very elderly, the very sick, and the very fat (morbidly obese). Most of the ‘unvaccinated’ who die were already so fragile and ill that if they were given the vaccine they would die.

If this is true — and I suspect it is — then there really is no need for most people to continue with anything other than the vaccines. There is no question that the vaccines help the people who take them substantially reduce their risk of death or severe illness; the data on that is beyond doubt. But everything else we are doing is either futile or delaying the inevitable. If we really can’t stop this thing from infecting everyone — and if one’s vaccination status ultimately matters only to one’s own health — then all the tools we are deploying are mere theater. Mask mandates? Useless. Plexiglass screens? Useless. Vaccine passports? Why should anyone care? Go get vaccinated — or don’t; it’s your life — and we can all get back to normal.
