LPD said an SUV, which frequented a home under investigation, was spotted in the area of 70th and A Streets Tuesday.
When attempting to pull the vehicle over, officers said the driver slowed down and two teens jumped out.
According to police, the vehicle stopped a short time later.
The driver, Sentorius Barnes, 40, was booked into jail on a charge of possessing a weapon by a prohibited person and child abuse. LPD said a 9mm pistol was located inside a purse on the passenger floor board. Front seat passenger, Latoya Barnes-Berry, 35, was arrested for having a concealed weapon and child abuse.
Four other juveniles, ages 15 and 16, were also inside the vehicle with a loaded AR rifle at their feet, police said.
