My cmnt: I post Stanford’s obituary here on my website because the Madlocks have been our next door neighbors for the past 34 years. RIP. Roper and Sons Mortuary.

Stanford Madlock, Sr., 69, passed away on November 5, 2025, in Lincoln, NE. He was born on March 16, 1956, in Grenada, MS, to Sid and Dorothy (Hardaway) Madlock.

Stanford and his wife Amanda are the owners of Stanford Madlock Trucking Inc.

He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Amanda; Daughters Champagne Dorvennia Madlock (Philip), Amanda Luticha Fenn (Jeremiah), Staniquea LaShiffon (Joe) McWilliams and Mercedes Some-More Sierra’ Madlock; Sons Stanford Alonzo (Kerress) Madlock Jr., Sidney Andrew Lorenzo Madlock and Benjy Britton; 19 Grandchildren DeVonte Madlock, Champagne Anderson, Zion Perry, Morgan Perry III, Dameyun Jones, Justan Jones, Kevon Harris, Nevaeh Madlock, Amanda McWilliams, Joseph McWilliams Jr, Lashavya Madlock, Jalayah Madlock, Stanford Madlock III, Princeton Madlock, Karmahni-Zae Madlock, Aleyah Theye, Desiree Britton, Christopher Britton and Isaiah Britton; Sister Tanja White; Brothers Sid Madlock Jr. and Tervino Copeland; 12 great grandchildren, numerous nieces, nephews and a host of cousins.

The pallbearers for Stanford are Justin Rasmussen, Alexander Hinken, Courtez Ambrose, Justin Bridges, Stevon McClinton, and Dalton Kuhlmann.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Sisters Darlene Woods and Martha Jean; Brothers Sidney Madlock and Donald Madlock, along with many aunts, uncles and cousins.

A funeral service will take place at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 14, 2025, at St. Mark’s United Methodist Church (8550 Pioneers Blvd, Lincoln, NE 68520). A visitation will take place from 10:00 a.m. until the time of service.
