My cmnt: I found this in the local paper years ago. He’s a good writer and makes a valid point so I reprint it here for my readers.

If the media, pundits and Democrats micro-managed World War II like they do Iraq :

Today, after President Franklin D. Roosevelt failed to connect the dots and ignored advanced warnings, the nation of Japan bombed Pearl Harbor, taking out our entire Pacific fleet and killing three thousand brave sailors.   Democrats in Congress promise to launch investigations and hold hearings to find out what went wrong.

It has been revealed by the New York Times that FDR is really an invalid.  Carefully hidden from the public, it is now known that FDR needs a wheelchair and heavy pain medication to function.  Why is this old man still President we have to ask??  What will he bungle next??

FDR illegally detains American Citizens!!  It has been learned that the imperial presidency of FDR has ordered more than 100,000 patriotic Americans sent to concentration camps for no other reason than their ethnicity.  Leading democrats call FDR a racist and demand his resignation.  FDR vainly responded, ‘But we’re in the middle of a war with a vicious enemy’  – apparently referring to the bombing of Pearl Harbor.  Most Americans polled don’t remember or don’t think it was that bad. 

FDR a liar!!  In his campaign speech just months before his unprecedented and some say illegal third term, Roosevelt promised, ‘Not one American boy will ever have to fight in a foreign war as long as I am president.’   He has deceived the American public! Millions of our sons and daughters have been dragged by this old fool into a war that, according to our minute-by-minute polling data, less than 15% of the public approves of.

D-Day a Disaster!!  Under the failed leadership of FDR and his incompetent generals, tens of thousands of our innocent sons have perished on the beaches of Normandy. Well placed sources in the FDR administration, that agreed to speak on conditions of anonymity, have revealed that he has surrounded himself with yes-men and totally fails to listen to wiser heads.  

Tens of thousands of paratroopers landed miles behind the beach front and were mowed down by Nazi machine guns.  When asked repeatedly by our reporters, and we are hounding him day and night, FDR appears dazed and confused.  He had no idea the extent the Nazis were entrenched on the beaches and appears to have callously disregarded warnings from other generals, who should be running this war, that we would suffer 50,000 deaths and another 100,000 maimings in a desperate attempt to take this forsaken beach.

Battle of the Bulge means the enemy is winning.  In a major triumph for the Axis the Nazis have broken through our ill conceived attempt to hold the line. FDR again showing no vision stubbornly maintains that, ‘We are winning.’  He appears to be more and more out of touch with reality.   Several of his top advisors have quit and are ready to spill their guts to the media. The mismanagement of this war and the cover-ups have Democrats in Congress talking impeachment.  Even though we are in the middle of a life-or-death struggle, the truth must come out.   

Allied forces have surrounded Berlin but must wait for Russians for political reasons. FDR again appears to not care for the suffering soldiers or even the number of Germans that have died in this mismanaged war.  Democrats say they would have run the war better. No specifics given. 

Top secret Bomb Of Death and Destruction dropped on Japan. It has been learned by the New York Times that secretly and perhaps illegally FDR has spent billions of our tax dollars developing a Weapon of Mass Destruction, which are expressly illegal according to the Geneva Conventions of which United States is a signatory.  ‘FDR is simply an evil man’, says leading House Democrat.  Even though Japan was on the verge of surrender, FDR, through his surrogate Vice President Harry S. Truman, mercilessly released the most savage weapon ever devised by man on a hapless and defeated people.  ‘Have you no shame?’, asks a leading Democratic senator. Truman weakly responded that use of this ultimate weapon may have saved the lives of 500,000 U.S. soldiers and over 5 million Japanese resisters.  ‘We will never know.’, says top Democrat columnist.

United States guilty of war crimes for using WMD!  Europe, older and wiser than America, will launch a war tribunal to convict America of crimes against humanity.  Leading Democrats agree. Truman, always the cowboy, responds, ‘We saved their asses and this is the thanks we get?’ Democrats say, ‘Grow up.’
