My cmnt: In a subtle new twist to the saga of “boys competing against girls” the California Left has decided to give the rightful medals to the real girls but also to the trans boy calling it “competing with” instead of against. This is actually acknowledging that trans boys have a biological advantage over girls but being Marxist-Leftist propagandists they still want the boys out there.

My cmnt: This new accommodation does not stop the trans boy from still taking a future athletic scholarship away from a girl who will be bumped out to make room for him in the limited scholarship money pool.

CLOVIS, Calif. (FOX26) — After a fervor-filled week leading up to the high school state track & field championships, transgender athlete AB Hernandez competed as a result of a brand-new policy change implemented less than a week ago.

Because of the pilot entry process proposed by the California Interscholastic Federation (CIF), Hernandez did not compete against girl athletes, but with them.

“Competing against” implies that AB’s results impacted how others placed at the State championship meet, which is not what happened.

Take the image of the girls’ long jump podium, for example. AB shares the 2nd place spot on the podium with Brooke White.

Nobody was bumped down on the podium by AB. Instead, they shared the space together.

And from what our cameras and ears gathered on the field, AB’s competitors were receptive to her.

“She’s an amazing competitor,” said Redwood High School’s state triple jump finalist Jazmaine Stewart.

“She’s so sweet. Being able to compete against her is an honor. Being able to stand beside her and jump against her is amazing. Having that competition to push me to want to be better is amazing.”

Our eyes were also trained on the Jurupa Valley High School junior, while AB competed in the long, high and triple jump, taking 1st place in the latter two events.

The CIF has paved the way for more athletes like AB to compete in future State championships, without taking medals away from biological female athletes.
