Here are some of Lincoln’s hidden gem restaurants, according to Reddit

Daffodil Mediterranean Cuisine and Catering

Location: 5500 Old Cheney Rd, Suite 21“Daffodil at 56th and Old Cheney, it’s an older woman and her family that runs it, really good Mediterranean food. The setup isn’t anything special but the woman and her family are very inviting and nice to talk to.”-u/TicketAlarming8532courtesy

Lila Mae’s Southern Kitchen and Lounge

Location: 2110 Winthrop Rd“Lila mae’s!!! Best Nashville hot chicken ever!! Between their homemade dipping sauce, mac and cheese, and chicken on a waffle it is seriously so amazing! You can choose between 5 different heats if you don’t like spicy”-u/petitrouge13JUSTIN WAN, Journal Star

Afghan Village Cuisine

Location: 3111 O St.“Afghan Village Cuisine is a newish place just east of 27th and O, they have buffet style service with items rotating from a menu every day–I literally just stopped there for dinner tonight because I happened to see the sign while driving and everything was fantastic.”-u/timeskipscourtesy

Norm’s on 48th

Location: 2510 S. 48th St.“Norm’s on 48th’s Brisket Smashy burgers are life changing. Different Smashies depending on the day. If you’re not there by 11:30 at the latest, you won’t get one. Literally a gas station that fills up with people at 11AM for the burgers hitting the hot shelf. Love that we have a place like this. Get the Smashy sauce and put it on your burger. Their hats are rad too.”-u/Queasy-Trip1777courtsey

El Potro Mexican Restaurant

Location: 3410 S 10th St.“They have the best plate of fajitas I’ve ever had: Chicken, Beef, Shrimp and Chorizo. A flank steak on top and a cheese quesadilla on the side along with your usual rice beans guacamole and tortillas. It’s easily three full meals for me for $15.99. I still can’t believe it every time I get it. Drinks are also delicious and reasonable. I don’t go to any other Mexican restaurants anymore.”-u/Cheekbagger courtesy

L’s Kitchen

Vung Tau Pho Grill

Location: 2708 Y St.“Had pho all over the country and Vung Tau makes better pho that what I’ve had at upscale places. Plus the owner is just a nice guy and it’s a bit family run. One time about 15 years ago I forgot my wallet after ordering and eating and he told me not to worry about it, just get him back next time”-u/danisindeedfatJournal Star file photo

Fattoush Restaurant

Location: 313 N. 27th St.“I came here to say Fattoush too. I get something different every time – I’m trying to work my way through the whole menu eventually. The best thing so far: the Borag Beef – they look like egg rolls kind of. Amazing flavor and dipping sauce! I also love that if you sit in to eat, you get bread and hummus and everything as a side, even if you ordered a rice based dish. Better value than other similar restaurants. Can’t recommend highly enough!”-u/Fantastic_Mud_6798courtesy

Rolling Wok

Location: 2600 S. 48th St.“Rolling Wok has amazing Chinese food. It’s located on 48th and Van Dorn in the strip mall area that has the Hobby Lobby in it. They deliver and they are so fast and sweet. Recommend almost anything on the menu but some of my favorites are Peanut Butter Chicken, Mongolian Beef, Egg Foo Young, and Green Bean Chicken. Highly recommend!”-u/Lemonjuuscourtesy

Blessing Thai Restaurant

Location: 4451 N. 26th St. Suite 800“We love Blessing Thai near 27th and Superior. Be careful when choosing a spice level though – they do not play! We usually get a 3 or 4 even though we both really like spice.”-u/allysamartinezGWYNETH ROBERTS, Journal Star file photo

Super Taco

Location: 5501 Holdrege St.“Super Taco on 56th and Holdrege. Unassuming exterior in a strip connected to a gas station, but man does that place slap. Super reasonable pricing too.”-u/aurrutia214Courtesy

Panda Garden

Location: 233 N. 48th St. “Panda Garden! Looks like generic Chinese food in a strip mall, but they have an amazing Korean food menu. Amazing kimchi as well if that’s your thing.”-u/adidas2500 ERIC GREGORY/Lincoln Journal Star
